Stunning double Manaia and Wheku breastplate with Paua eyes in beef bone. The Manaia symbolises a spiritual guardian, protecting the wearer and bringing health, peace and balance. The Wheku represents a face, usually an ancestor. The breastplate (sideways shape) is a symbol of a shield, bringing added protection.
